President's Get Together 2020

The President's Get Together is an annual event in which your President
invites all Past Presidents, Life Members and Committee Members to join him
for a dinner. Since the function doesn't benefit the whole Membership it
cannot draw on Club funds, so has to be paid for in full by the
participants, although any surplus does go to the Club. It is
customary for the President to provide entertainment for the guests after
dinner, at his own expense. This year President John Regan chose St Annes Old Links Golf Club on Highbury Lane for the venue. We had an exceptionally high turnout and a very good (and filling!) three course lunch, served by very pleasant waitresses! John had arranged for the Encore Singers of Blackpool to entertain us, which went down very well indeed! Their conductor was Kathleen Vaquer and their keyboard player was Lyndsay Fielder. Much appreciated by all of those present.
